It's been 1 month to the day since my last post. Ultra fail on my part.

So what's been going on in the past month? Uhhhhh... Not much, I guess.

My friend came to visit from England. It was mostly just a rest stop between her other stops. That's just fine. I like resting. We did go to Sunset beach for my dad's birthday, and on the way there we stopped at Mission San Juan Bautista. I haven't been there since I was 10. Good to now that nothing's changed. Oh except for not they charge you. Well.. we peaked through windows. The day she left, we went to Falafel's Drive-In which, if you don't know, is THE GREATEST Felafel place ever. Ever. It was featured on the Food Network show "Diners. Drive-Ins, and Dives".

Then there was the freaking Olympics. I'm so bummed it's over. For those not in the know, I am an Olympics FANATIC. It's my favorite. Also, holy freaking Michael Phelps anybody? Yeah.
I can't remember where I found this comment, but I kept is and it cracks me up.
"Michael motha @#$%in Phelps baby!!! USA will never fall in mens swimming with Michael motha @#$%in Phelps, half a motha @#$%in dolphin baby!! USA!!!"
I'm not a Phelps fan because he is attractive (Yeah he is, but that is low on my list), I'm a huge Phelps fan because that guy is not human. He is the best freaking swimmer, olympian, athlete. The man freaking flies. Did you see him flap is arms before he started? Like a condor. I've been watching him since Sydney 2000 and I have never lost enthusiasm.
I was really bummed that Paul Hamm had to drop out. He's my second favorite (summer) Olympic athlete. At least the team did well without him.
Other than that, not too much. Keith and Katie left for Utah yesterday. Brian is moving back to Utah so he will be visiting here for a few day. So That covers what's been going on. I know, incredibly boring. Such is this life. Hopefully next month is more exciting.

Oh yeah. I got called to be a relief society teacher.

Also, why are there fireworks going off at 1.20 AM on the 26th?

I realize I will never get screencaps, so here it is.

It's part 2 of What I Was Thinking During Dark Knight

Scene: Hong Kong business office. Big fight. Batman > Hong Kong Business Men
Issue: See if you can figure it out.

Fig.1

Fig.2

See what I'm getting at, folks? I'll give you some time to mull it over.

Okay, students. Test in!

I will give you half credit if you answered "Try to mess with The Batman, and The Batman will EFF YOU UP SON". This is not the answer I was looking for, but it is still 100% true.

The answer I was looking for is part of Basic Movie Fighting 101.

It clearly states that "If there is a fish tank in the room, AT LEAST PERSON MUST GO THROUGH THE GLASS." Failure to meet this requirement will result in an angry blogger.

Seriously. I couldn't pay attention to the fight because my eyes were drawn to the bright blue glowing fish tank. I was waiting for it, but THE MOMENT NEVER HAPPENED. It bothered me. Quite a bit actually.

Come on, Christopher Nolan. Do you need to go back to class?

Stay away if you want EVERYTHING TO BE A SURPRISE.

I saw the new Batman today, and it was incredible. Of course you all know that.

Thoughts during the movie (no spoilers)

Number one:

Okay, people of Gotham especially the press, can you see the huge difference between these two? Or am I just a freaking genius?
I'll give you a hint:

Unfortunately, I have to wait for someone to screencap the movie to show you my next two thoughts.

Thank you for checking for updates on my blog.

Buuuut....

Why waste your time doing that when you could be watching Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog?
Why haven't you before?

Orrr...
Why not watch Fiest on Sesame Street instead?

The Night Starts Here

"On the evening of June 30, you'll see Mars just above and to the right of Regulus, while Saturn sits above and to the left; the trio will resemble an arrowhead that night with Saturn making the arrow's tip.

On the evening of July 1, Mars will appear perched almost directly above Regulus. The color contrast will be quite striking, especially in binoculars: Mars appears yellow-orange, while Regulus is bluish.

On July 5 looking low in the western sky about an hour after sundown, you'll see a waxing crescent moon, with Regulus, Mars and Saturn all oriented in a straight line in that order, from lower right to upper left. Mars will be situated almost exactly in between Regulus and Saturn. On the following night, the moon will have shifted eastward, forming a broad triangle with Regulus and Saturn, while Mars will have moved noticeably closer to Saturn."

I'd like to lay my weary bones tonight
On a bed of California stars"

Blaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh.........g

I can't wait until September 16, when I can watch Pushing Daisies whenever I want.

Yeah yeah, I can do that now with the internet, but it's not as fun to watch show in tiny little screens with ads running on the sides. Also, I want to sprawl out on my couch and watch.

Also, I cant stop listening to Radiohead's "House of Cards".

97% done with the owl. I just need to figure out that stupid left foot. Can I hide it behind something? Maybe he is riding a rocking horse.

It's a bit chilly right now. That makes me super happy.

Someone I am friends with on facebook but I really can't stand (don't ask me why we are facebook friends) wrote his status as "so-and-so can touch his toes while only bending at the waist". I really want to write on his wall "Well la-tee-da. Color me not impressed, Bartholomew Bragger. I can do that too, and I'm a fatty!"
Then I realized that is childish. Then I fought back and forth with myself and decided not to do it.

I started a new painting today. BIG MISTAKE.
It was so hot today that the paint would dry mid stroke. Then I would go to get more paint, and that too had dried. Do you understand how much paint I lost today?! Do you?! I would try to go the whole stroke, but I'd end up rubbing off what I had already painted.
I'm a very quick painter. The last painting I did took me an hour and 20 minutes, and that's only because I had to repaint the whole thing when I made a mistake. I'm not used to this slow painting. This is why I've stuck with acrylic! Bah!

Uggg... it's so wrong, but I can't fix it.

It's not going to get any cooler this summer, so I guess this painting is going to take forever.
I was also planning on fixing a painting I did earlier this year, but I guess that's being put on hold.
I freaking hate this!!
